The Hotel Madison is located across the street from all conference venues, offering premiere accommodations. Suite-style apartments are available that include a kitchen and fully furnished living rooms. Additionally, on-campus housing has single and double occupancy rooms, all located on the central Bluestone campus. All housing options are within a walkable distance to all conference venues.

James Madison University is 20 minutes north of the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport and less than 2 hours from Dulles International, Reagan National, Richmond international, and Roanoke Regional airports.

On-Campus Dining
Prepaid meal cards will be available as an add-on to registration. Meal cards can be used at JMU’s D-Hall, which is only a short walk from the School of Music.
D-Hall offers a rotating variety of food options ranging from salad and pasta bars to sandwiches, pizzas, and ethnic cuisine. In addition to the buffet, D-Hall houses the following retail restaurants:
D-Hall includes a True Balance Station where a dining team prepares delicious dishes from ingredients without the 9 most common food allergens – egg, milk, peanut, tree nuts, shellfish, soy, wheat, fish, sesame – and gluten. Click here to learn more.

Unused meals on your meal card will be abandoned at the end of the symposium; the value of abandoned meals will not be refunded.
