    Aliyah Danielle

    Aliyah Danielle is a dynamic artist with a unique approach that can be summed up in one word: unconventional. The winding roads of Aliyah’s diverse interests and experiences converge to form the heart of her creations, which seek to tell stories through sound and blend genres to create new, interesting sonic textures. A collaborator at heart, Aliyah’s mission is to use her art to pose questions and start conversations surrounding issues embedded in our world’s cultural and social systems, allowing us to better understand others and their belief systems.

  • Hae-Ree Yoo

    Hae-Ree Yoo

    Hae-Ree Yoo was born in Seoul, South Korea. She is a highly accomplished horn player, currently serving as the Principal Horn of the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne since May 2022.

    Hae-Ree earned her Bachelor’s degree with first-class honors from Yonsei University in 2018. She continued her studies at the University of Arts Berlin, where she completed her Master's degree in 2020 and Konzertexamen in 2023. In the summer of 2024, she finished her Master studies in Chamber Music at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin.

  • Szablocs Zempléni

    Szabolcs Zempléni

    Szabolcs Zempléni, born in 1981, was awarded the 1st Prize and the Special Prize at the Concertino Praga competition at the early age of 17. This success was followed by 1st place at the International Horn Competition in Békés and 2nd place at the International Horn Competition in Markneukirchen in 2000, and 1st place at the International Horn Competition in Brno in 2001. Szabolcs Zempléni was awarded the 1st Prize at the ARD International Music Competition Munich in 2005.

    Mauricio Soto

    Mauricio Soto is currently Principal Horn of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Querétaro, director of the Orchestra Program at the "John F. Kennedy" School and Professor at the Universidad Panamericana. He has also been a member of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Montevideo (Uruguay), the Orquesta del Teatro Argentino (Argentina), the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional (Mexico) and professor of Horn at the Escuela Superior de Música (CNA), the Escuela Nacional de Música (UNAM), and the Universidad de Guanajuato in Mexico.

  • Zora Slokar

    Zora Slokar

    Zora Slokar was born in Bern and is principal horn in the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. 

    During her studies, Zora was sponsored by the Orpheum Foundation Zurich as well as being a Migros/ Kulturprozent scholarship holder. Zora won 1st prize at the Anemos Competition in Rome in 2002 and at the "Ceccarossi" Competition in Orsogna, Italy in 2003. She is a laureate of "Paxman" Competition "Young Horn Players" in London, the ”Schenk" Foundation Zofingen and the "Kiwanis" Club Zurich 2007. 

  • Pierre-Antoine Tremblay

    Pierre-Antoine Tremblay

    Born in Canada, Pierre-Antoine Tremblay specializes in the practice of historical instruments, from the early stages of the horn during the Baroque era to the final romantic flourishes of the early 20th century. He performs as first horn with prestigious period-instrument ensembles, including Europa Galante (Italy), Anima Eterna (Belgium), and Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra (Canada).

  • Gail Williams

    Gail Williams

    Gail Williams is an internationally recognized hornist and brass pedagogue. She has presented concerts, master classes, recitals and lectures throughout North America, as well as in Europe and Asia. Ms. Williams joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in December 1978, and was appointed associate principal horn in 1984, a position she held until her retirement from the orchestra in 1998. She has been a member of the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra and is currently principal horn of the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra.

  • David Amram

    David Amram

    David Amram started his professional life in music as a French Hornist in the National Symphony Orchestra (Washington, D.C.) in 1951. After serving in the US Army from 1952-54, he moved to New York City in 1955 and played French horn in the legendary jazz bands of Charles Mingus, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton and Oscar Pettiford.

    In 1957, he created and performed in the first ever Jazz/Poetry readings in New York City with novelist Jack Kerouac, a close friend with whom Amram collaborated artistically for over 12 years.

    Adam Unsworth

    Adam Unsworth is Professor of Horn at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance. Prior to his appointment in Ann Arbor, Adam was a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra (1998-2007) and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (1995-1998). He is currently Principal Horn of the Ann Arbor Symphony.

    Jennifer Montone

    Grammy Award Winner Jennifer Montone has been hailed by the New York Times for her "flawless horn solos... and warm and noble sound".  As Principal Horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and a world acclaimed soloist, chamber musician and teacher, she has been on the faculty at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School since joining the orchestra in 2006.
